So I’m trying to lose about 25lbs so I can look good in my driving suit (half way there since I started!). I’m keeping to a strict 1640 calories per day, except for one day a week when I let myself run wild. Today is that day, and at Starbucks I spotted this slice of Cheescake Factory Peanut Butter cheesecake. After eating it I looked up the nutritional facts and was horrified.
1,500 calories per slice . No wonder I felt sick almost immediately after eating it. I was planning on having a deep dish pizza tonight but I dunno if I’ll be able to recover in time.

Cheesecake Factory is one of the worst offenders with calories per plate in the world of restaurants. Even theirs salads have 2000+ calories on regular bases.

Even furnished with the information you just provided, I’m pretty sure I’d scoff that thing if someone put a slice in front of me right this second.

If you think that’s bad, just wait till supercalorie technology hits the market. Imagine a food who’s aroma is so alluring that your mouth immediately waters, and you feel hungry just looking at it no matter how full you are. A food so dense with calories that just inhaling it is the equivalent of eating half a candy bar.
Introducing the supercalorie. 1500cal/plate? HA! Try 1500cal per bite. Many will die. Many more will be diabeetus’d. The nation will not survive, but at least we go down tasting something made of pure concentrated deliciousness.

As a cheat-day dessert yes, as something to hold off lunch for another hour it was a little bit of overkill.

I commend you! As a man who must limit himself to a minimum of about 3000 calories a day, I would be a ball of ragemonster if I were attempting 1650...

Lowering your calories lowers your metabolism. A nice Paleo based diet will raise your metabolism

It’s not so bad. I eat a fairly plain lunch and dinner (which I prefer anyways) and in the afternoon or evening if I feel really hungry I have a babybel or some crackers. Having this one day a week off gives me a chance to indulge without feeling guilty.
